Beacon Privacy

Last updated: 2026-02-11

Summary

Beacon is a single-purpose counter that runs entirely on your device. There is no account, no server, no analytics.

Data on device

Beacon stores tile names, counts, and reset history in the iOS sandbox assigned to the app. When iCloud sync is on (default), Apple’s CloudKit replicates that sandbox between your devices using your own iCloud account.

Apple’s collection

The App Store may collect aggregate, anonymous usage and crash data on Apple’s own terms. None of that data passes through any server I run.

Third parties

There is no third-party analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no third-party data processor of any kind in Beacon.

Contact the developer

Email [email protected] with any privacy question. I reply within two business days from UTC+8.

Children

Beacon is rated 4+. It does not direct content to children, and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone.
